Rical Fellows - Pressing ahead with Environmental ISO14001

Environmental quality accreditation ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that sets out the method for implementing an effective Environmental Management System, enabling an organization to reduce its environmental impact while maintaining profitability and other key objectives.

Part of the Rical Group, Fellows are based in Wolverhampton and are recognised as a manufacturer and supplier of high quality deep drawn presswork and pressings for commercial catering, automotive and domestic sectors.

General Manager of Fellows, Cliff Mallaby formed an environmental working group, led by Jane Read, SHEQ Manager in October 2015 when the company began working towards the environmental management standard.

The team has been focusing on ensuring excellence in the company's environmental practices as well as communicating the importance of the achievement to the entire business.

Cliff Mallaby confirms “The new environmental standard was only released in September 2015 which makes Fellows one of the first in the country to achieve the standard, obviously a great step forward to underpinning the future direction of the company”, Cliff continues “The next progressive step for Fellows is the ISO45001 Occupational Health & Safety Standard, which is expected to be released later this year”.

The team at Fellows, led by Cliff Mallaby are currently bringing to market a new range of manufactured components called CopaCure range, specifically targeting the medical sector, an antimicrobial range of bowls, trays and accessories proven to reduce and eliminate against bacteria, viruses, yeasts and fungi, this and along with continued development in the companies Quality accreditations is a great move forward for the company.
