Rical Multiforms is proud to announce its involvement in this year’s Made in the Midlands exhibition, Multiforms is sharing its exhibition space under the Rical Group banner.

Rical Multiforms joined the Made in the Midlands Campaign towards the end of 2012 and has benefited greatly from its peer to peer networking along with the raised profile membership has given to manufacturing in the region.

Made in the Midlands was taken from an editorial campaign in 2009, to an independent membership organisation with more than 250 members, who represent in excess of £2b in turnover. The membership have a shared ethos of championing midlands manufacturing, changing the perception of industry to young people and making Britain a manufacturing powerhouse, that can provide prosperity and wealth for the nation, something Multiforms and indeed the larger Rical Group is keen to be a part of.

This year’s event has come at a very pivotal time for UK Manufacturing, at last Suppliers in the Midlands and the UK as a whole are seeing growing order books along with a more involved and key relationship with OEM manufacturers who, after what seems to have been a very long and unsteady period of “offshoring” and looking to emerging markets are now starting to look
closer to home for a secure and competitive supply route that does not seem to be as affected by the real and credible concerns that our foreign competitors currently endure, such as financial uncertainty, civil unrest and natural disasters, let alone the increased burden in the cost of fuel and transportation. The UK has become as competitive as our once emerging
counterparts and it makes sense to for large OEM’s to continue to look for credible local supply, the Made in the Midlands exhibition is an ideal platform to “show off” the manufacturing talent that the Midlands has to offer.

These are also very important times for the Rical group, March saw the appointment of the Groups new Chief Operations Officer, Mr Paul Bale. Paul comes to us from Haldex where
he has held a number of senior business management and technical roles, most recently as their Senior VP of Business development.  Rical is looking for continued growth, specifically
strengthening our already strong ties with the regions very strong automotive sector. The Rical Group is a strong privately owned group of companies manufacturing items such as Metal pressings, Fine Blank Components, Fabrications and Die-castings, the Groups divisions
include, Multiforms in Cradley Heath, William Mitchell fine blanking in Smethwick, Avon PDC in Birmingham and Taurus Engineering on the South coast of the UK.

We look forward to meeting with you at the Made in The
Midlands Event, Wolverhampton, May 2nd 2013.
